Hungarissimo represents a unique opportunity to bring together the Albanian and Hungarian culture. Having experienced in depth both these cultures, I can say without hesitation that the combination within this event is very natural and organic, and it offers an extraordinary platform that contributes to better understanding between the two peoples.

As former Ambassador of Albania to Hungary, I have had the privilege to witness firsthand the historic friendship between our peoples, as well as the potential to strengthen it. This year, the festival comes as a worthy celebration of the 100-anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and pinpoints to what should come in the next 100 years.

The promotion of Albania and Albanians within the broader European context should happen in a multitude of ways and this festival represents one such effort. Besides the diplomatic work, which obviously should never stop, art and culture are two essential fields that could contribute to bringing the two countries closer and to highlighting opportunities for collaboration.
